Privacy, data protection and terms of use

Your files, visit data, your data protection rights and the terms of use

Who runs this site

This site is operated by Ahmet Bilgiç from Turkey. In the wording of Turkish data protection law he is the data controller. Requests and questions go to info@arackosesi.com.

What happens to your files?

Nothing leaves your device. Conversion is done by JavaScript running in your browser: when you pick a file the browser reads it into its own memory, the conversion finishes inside the tab, and the result is downloaded from that same memory. The contents of your file are not sent to a server in any HTTP request.

This is not a promise you have to take on trust; two technical facts make it so. First, arackosesi.com serves static files only — there is no upload endpoint that accepts a file. Second, the Content-Security-Policy header the site sends restricts the addresses the page may connect to, so code trying to send data anywhere else would be blocked by the browser itself.

You can check it yourself: open a converter page, disconnect from the internet and use the tool. It keeps working. The Network tab of your browser's developer tools will likewise show no request carrying your file.

Visit data

To see which pages are useful, the site uses a visit counter called GoatCounter. GoatCounter sets no cookies and leaves no persistent trace in your browser, which is why there is no cookie consent banner here.

The counter records: the address of the page viewed, its title, the referring address that brought you here, browser type and screen width, and a country or region derived from your IP address. Your IP address is not stored; to tell two page views by the same visitor apart, a temporary signature derived from IP and browser details is used, and it is discarded shortly after.

This data is processed on GoatCounter's servers outside Turkey, so a transfer abroad is involved. The purpose is visit statistics and nothing else: which converter people look for, which page is failing. No individual profile is built and no data is sold to third parties.

During a conversion three events are also counted: the conversion starting, finishing successfully, and failing. These events carry only the name of the tool — not your file's name, contents or size. The point is to notice a tool that has started failing quietly.

Cookies and local storage

The site sets no cookies and does not use your browser's persistent storage. There are no adverts on the pages at present, which is the other reason you see no consent banner.

That changes if advertising is added later. Which cookie would be used and why, what would be kept in your browser, and what changes when adverts go live, are all written out separately.

Your rights under Law No. 6698

Under Article 11 of Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed; to request information about it if it is; to learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used in line with that purpose; to know the third parties in Turkey or abroad the data is transferred to; to request correction if it is incomplete or wrong; to request its deletion or destruction; to request that these actions be communicated to the third parties the data was transferred to; and to object to a result reached against you purely through automated analysis of the data.

You can send a request through the contact page. It is only fair to say up front that the site has no sign-in, no membership and no forms, so there is no record here that identifies you directly; any answer to a request will be given within that limit.

Age limit

The site does not offer content aimed at children and does not target users under 13. No data is knowingly collected from anyone under 13.

Terms of use

The tools are free and provided as they are. The copyright and usage rights of the files you convert remain yours; because no file reaches a server, nothing is stored, displayed or shared by this site.

Check the output yourself. With important documents in particular, open and inspect the converted file before you delete the original. The site cannot be held liable for damage arising from data loss or a faulty result.

Do not use the tools for unlawful purposes or on files you have no right to. If you would like to publish the site's source code or its tools on your own site, write through the contact page.
